How to Track QR Code Analytics
- 1
Open QR Suite › QR Codes and select a code
Navigate to QR Suite › QR Codes in your WordPress admin and click the name of any QR code. The QR code detail page includes an analytics panel below the code settings.
- 2
Read the scan overview
The overview section shows total scans, unique scanners (by hashed IP), and the scan trend over the selected time period. Use the date range selector to filter by the last 7 days, 30 days, 90 days, or a custom range. Free plan analytics are limited to the last 30 days; Pro extends this to 24 months.
- 3
Review device and OS breakdown
The Device panel shows the split between mobile, tablet, and desktop scanners, and the operating system distribution (iOS vs Android vs other). This helps you optimize the destination page for the most common scanner type.
- 4
Review geographic data
If geolocation is enabled in QR Suite › Settings › Privacy, the Locations panel shows the country and city breakdown for scans. Location data is derived from IP geolocation — the raw IP is hashed before storage.
- 5
Review referrer and UTM data
If your destination URL includes UTM parameters, the UTM panel breaks down scans by source, medium, and campaign. Referrer data shows whether scans came from a direct scan, a web share, or a redirect chain.
- 6
Enable GA4 or Meta Pixel (optional)
For integration with existing analytics stacks, go to QR Suite › Settings › Integrations and enter your GA4 Measurement ID or Meta Pixel ID. Scan events will be fired to those platforms in addition to the local analytics. Requires Pro plan.
