vCard QR Code
The vCard type is part of the Pro plan. Create it in your dashboard under QR Codes, then export as PNG or SVG.
vCard 3.0 output
The platform builds a vCard 3.0 record with N, FN, TEL, EMAIL, ORG, TITLE, URL and ADR lines and serves it as text/vcard. That is the format iOS and Android contact apps expect, so the save sheet appears without an intermediate page.
The fields you can fill
First name, last name, phone, email, company, job title, website and postal address. At least one name is required; every other field is optional and simply omitted from the record when left blank.
Dynamic by design
The vCard type is dynamic, so the printed matrix encodes a short redirect rather than the contact record itself. Editing a field in your dashboard changes what every existing print of that code returns.
Scan tracking a static vCard cannot give you
A vCard encoded directly into the image is invisible: nothing is requested, so nothing can be counted. Serving it through the redirect means you get scan counts, unique scanners, device, OS, country and referrer for every card you hand out.
Privacy defaults
IP addresses pass through an HMAC-SHA-256 hash keyed by a deployment secret before any scan row is written, and known crawler and link-preview user agents are flagged as bots and excluded from your counts.
Design and export
Pro adds custom colours, gradients, a centre logo, corner styles and frames. Export PNG for screens and SVG for print — SVG rescales without loss for badges, cards and signage.
Scheduling and access controls
Pro codes can carry a start date, an end date, a scan cap and a password. A conference badge code can stop resolving the week after the event without anyone touching the printed badge.
Where it lives
vCard codes are created under QR Codes in your workspace, can be tagged and grouped into campaigns, and appear in the same analytics and exports as the rest of your codes.
Frequently asked questions
What is a dynamic QR code?
A dynamic QR code encodes a short redirect URL served by QRCode Suite. The actual destination is stored in your workspace and can be changed at any time, so you can update where a printed QR code points without reprinting it.
How many dynamic QR codes can I create?
The Free plan includes 3 dynamic QR codes. Pro and above include unlimited dynamic QR codes. Static QR codes never count against the limit.
What is a conditional redirect?
A conditional redirect sends scanners to different destinations based on rules — such as device type (iOS vs Android), country, time of day, or scan count. Conditional redirects are available on the Pro plan.
What formats can I export QR codes in?
All plans support PNG and SVG export. Pro adds CSV data export. Business adds XLSX export, branded PDF reports, and bulk generation with CSV import.
Can I add a logo or custom colors to my QR codes?
Yes, on Pro and above. Custom logo embedding, gradients and frames are part of the Pro design toolkit; the Free plan uses standard colours.
Encode a contact, not a landing page
