QR campaign walkthrough: print to revenue

A QR campaign starts with a print piece and ends with a revenue line. Most teams stall at the middle steps: the Link Hub design, the attribution windows, the report that goes to the CFO. This walkthrough takes one campaign — a 12,000-flyer Q1 launch for a DTC brand — through every step and shows what each handoff actually looks like.

  1. 1

Step 1 — Define the campaign in WordPress

In QR Suite → Campaigns → New, set name, dates, UTM source/medium/campaign, and attribution window (default 30 days). Every QR you attach inherits these. For our flyer launch: source=flyer, medium=print, campaign=q1-launch-2026.

  2. 2

    Step 2 — Generate per-zone QRs

Bulk-generate 6 QRs — one per distribution zone (city or postcode cluster). Each gets the same Link Hub but a different zone tag, so per-zone scan rate is visible. CSV import: 1 row per zone.

  3. 3

Step 3 — Build the Link Hub

Three buttons: "Shop the launch" (deep-link to WooCommerce category), "Free sample" (Klaviyo form), "Find a store" (geo-aware retailer locator). Mobile-optimised, single-screen, no carousel.

  4. 4

Step 4 — Print and distribute

Flyers printed at 12,000 units with one QR per zone. Distribution via three regional mailing-list partners. Total cost: €4,200 print + €3,800 distribution = €8,000.

  5. 5

Step 5 — Read the revenue report

90 days later: 1,847 scans (15% scan rate), 412 conversions, €38,200 attributable revenue. ROAS 4.8×. Per-zone breakdown showed Lyon outperforming Marseille by 2.1× — guides the next print run.

Frequently asked questions

What is QRCode Suite?

QRCode Suite is a premium WordPress plugin that generates branded, dynamic QR codes directly inside your WordPress dashboard. Scan data is stored on your own server — not on a third-party SaaS platform — and WooCommerce orders can be attributed to specific QR codes.

Does QRCode Suite require a separate subscription?

The Free plan is available at no cost. Paid plans (Pro, Business, Agency) are licensed per WordPress site and billed monthly or annually. There is no separate per-scan fee.

What QR code types does QRCode Suite support?

QRCode Suite supports 15 QR code types: URL, vCard, Wi-Fi, SMS, Email, WhatsApp, PDF, Coupon, Plain Text, Social profile, WooCommerce Product, WooCommerce Reorder, Link Hub, Phone, and Dynamic URL.

Can I change the destination of a QR code after printing it?

Yes. Dynamic QR codes use a short redirect URL. You can update the destination from your WordPress dashboard at any time without generating or reprinting the code.

Is QRCode Suite GDPR-compliant?

Yes. QRCode Suite hashes IP addresses with SHA-256 before storage so no raw IPs are ever saved. It also filters bot traffic automatically and includes configurable data-retention settings.
